Erin Bunge
Erin has been instrumental in the success of our music and band program creating engaging lessons and units, such as music around the world and musicals, followed by her amazing work to create awesome concerts and musical productions. Erin has created an environment that fosters the learning of music for all students. She is going to be missed greatly, we wish her the best in her new teaching position.
Elizabeth Wareham
Elizabeth has served as a 5th grade teacher during her time here at St. Matthew; during that time she has completely transformed the experience for these students in an effort to ensure they are prepared for Regis and middle school in general. I appreciate her continued willingness to challenge not only herself but her students, while developing relationships that created such a safe and nurturing environment. We we certainly going to miss Elizabeth and hate to see her go, but know that a move to the middle of the state is what is best. We wish you the best and are so thankful that you will be continuing to carry forward the vocation of a Catholic school educator.
Karla Schuff and Tammy VanErdewyk
These two ladies are the behind the scenes workers to the many great things happening within these walls. They work tirelessly for the benefit of students, oftentimes providing support in unusual ways or in less consistent patterns. No matter the task, these ladies jump in with both feet and do whatever needs to be done. With our growing enrollment and having two sections of each grade, our class sizes do not warrant the need for a second adult; however, should the need arise, we would love to have them return to join us. Thank you for your countless dedication to St. Matthew.
Amy Ball
For 22 of Amy’s 30 years as a teacher, she has called St. Matthew home and in addition to the teaching role, she has also served as preschool director for a portion of that time. Amy has taken the St. Matthew preschool program to new heights, thanks to her drive and passion for the early childhood years. She works tirelessly day in and day out to ensure that the programs being offered in the St. Matthew preschool program are top of the line and that the families who enter this space feel like home. It is thanks to the hard work and dedication of Amy that many of our preschool families join us as big Jaguars. The partnership that I have been able to share with Amy is one that I will treasure, she is such an advocate for this place and puts her full heart in all she does here. We are going to miss Amy’s presence around here but know she is just a phone call away; we wish her the best in her new career path.
