Message from the Principal
I can safely say I am not sure I remember a winter like this. Wow! This has certainly been one for the record books! With the many delays, early releases and cancellations, we do have some school to make up to meet the minimum 1080 hours as required by the state.
I have a plan put together; however, it needs board approval. The St. Matthew Board of Education meets this coming Thursday and will have a plan moving forward as to what days we will use and the possibility of extending our school day.
Please know that in all the work that I have done, we have worked to maintain consistency for XCS families, as well as making the changes we feel will lessen the impact on our families, you! Please stay tuned as I will report our plan in the Jaguar Journal next week!
Essentials Team Highlight
In PE, we are starting roller skating next week. So remembering to follow directions in order to be safe is very important. We will be learning the correct way to fall and to catch our balance. Therefore, we need to ensure students remember to listen and, when skating, to avoid running into other students. It is essential to make sure students are keeping hands to themselves and to not pull other students down. I encourage discussions at home to ensure every student will remain safe and will have fun! As always keep moving and get your sweat on!
Happy 100th Day of School!
