Wednesday, March 27th
Today we practiced our tornado safety plan as the state also worked through a statewide tornado drill. All students did fantastic and remembered the important procedures from the fall. Students proceeded quickly and quietly to the cafeteria, our safe location. Great job to all students, faculty and staff!
Thursday, March 28th - Hats OFF For Beating Breast Cancer
Tomorrow we will celebrate Mrs. Trudy Smith; Trudy completed her last round of radiation treatment the week of March 11th and is now cancer-free. Thursday will be her last day of wearing a hat so we would like to support her in this huge milestone and celebrate her with her favorite color, yellow! All students and staff are encouraged to join us by wearing a yellow top (find your favorite Hawkeyes or Cyclones top!!!!) and a hat on Thursday. Dress code will be casual, which means students may wear any pant bottoms. Now that we have walked the journey with Trudy, it is important that we join in the celebration! What an amazing example of the power of prayer!
Friday, March 29th
Friday is our normally scheduled spirit wear Friday, but if you have a "beat cancer" shirt of any sort or the Especially For You shirt, I would encourage you to wear that as we lift up Trudy who has put up an amazing fight this year!
