We Need Your Help - Day(s) of Service
Wednesday and Thursday, June 26th and 27th
We are in need of as much help as we can get to move, clean, organize and paint at the school; using the resources of our families allows us to get the work done efficiently while reducing costs. We are really hoping that all families can commit to helping for at least two hours so this process can go as smoothly as possible and we can get the school in amazing shape. We do understand that everyone is busy and that some people have vacations already planned. If you are unable to help during the times listed, please reach out to us at email@example.com to let us know that you are interested in helping another time.
Volunteering to help at school was previously a requirement and this was an annual event. While we don't want to be too demanding, we'd like to get back to making this something that happens each year so we can keep our school fresh. We have quite a few tasks to accomplish, so when you sign up for a shift please be prepared to pitch in and help out with whatever is needed at that time whether it be moving items, cleaning classrooms or painting. If you are able to bring paint brushes and rollers with you as well that would be appreciated. All other supplies will be ready here at school.
St. Matthew is taking on a paint project this summer to freshen up our school; however, this will require some additional work and volunteers. We started the paint sign-up below, but please know there will likely be other times we ask for assistance. Additionally, if anyone is willing to assist us with the paint project, please reach out to
Thanks so much for your commitment to making St. Matthew Elementary awesome!

Through the process of our Day(s) of Service, in coordination with some moving of rooms, St. Matthew has some extra items that will be available for our families in late June. Please stay tuned regarding information as to when these items will be available to take a look at. We expect some items to be: tube TV's, computer monitors, possible furniture, books, etc. All we ask is a free will donation. Stay tuned!!!!
As Father Steve moves on to his new placement, we wanted to send him with a small token of our appreciation for all he has done for us; this gift also allows him to take a piece of each one of us with him on his journey.
We are certainly going to miss him and his constant encouragement and support. Father Steve Garner was presented with a frame that includes the fingerprints of all 154 current students at St. Matthew.
We wish him best in his new endeavor.
