Q&A
Just a reminder of tomorrow's Q&A at 9AM, but I wanted to pass along a question that was asked of me earlier this week.
Will my child be moved to the next grade?
The answer to this question is yes, all students will be moved to the next grade. The staff is currently working on progress reports and evaluating the areas of learning that will need to be taught to students in the fall as a way of filling in gaps from learning this spring. Please know that we will consistently evaluating and refining educational practices to aid in the learning of all students.
XCS Family Survey
With COVID-19, schools are rapidly changing the basic way conduct education. We as a Xavier Metro Catholic schools are asking our families for feedback and helping us to plan for the 2020-2021 school year, in the event COVID-19 impacts the beginning of our school year. We are planning for a variety of possibilities since we cannot yet know how the fall will look.
It is very important to us on the XCS administrative team that however we start the school year that we are mindful of many things such as academic growth, students' mental health, safety of all community members, conduciveness to family life, and more. We feel proudly of what our teachers have done through this spring, and we are confident that we can continue to offer the best possible education and formation for students and that we can further distinguish the Catholic school experience from other educational options. While the department of education will determine which of the three return to learn plans we will use to begin the year, we are all eager to return to a full-time in-school experience as soon as we are able to do so.
Until that time, your input can help us to inform how we as Xavier Catholic Schools would serve and lead your children in a way that supports family life. Please take a few minutes to share with our teachers and faculty how to prepare for possible further shifts that COVID-19 might impact this upcoming fall.
Thank you!

Friday Q&A
There is a lot going on these days; I know that I do not have to tell you that, though. With so much information out there, I decided it may be beneficial to offer a Zoom Q&A session for anyone who would like a question or two answered. No formal agenda, just a safe place for you to ask whatever it is you are wondering.
I will be on Zoom at the link below from 9-10AM this Friday, May 22nd. Feel free to pop in and say hello or stay and listen. I can't promise I have all the answers, but I will certainly try or I will ask the experts. After the call I will put together a document to share with all in the Jaguar Journal.
